Seguin - It's Real, Authentic Texas

It's Real, Authentic Texas Seguin

Get crackin’ and plan your visit to Seguin, Texas. While the city of just more than 30,000 people might be best known for being home of the world’s largest pecan, it has a lot more to offer visitors.  From its founding in 1838 by 33 Texas Rangers, Seguin’s legacy keeps growing with new attractions and the preserved historic downtown district linking visitors to the days of the old.

Downtown Seguin is listed on the National Register of Historic Places filled with significant buildings designed by famous architects. The listing on the National Register qualifies for numerous downtown properties for state and federal tax credits – making downtown Seguin a great investment.

In addition to downtown Seguin’s unique blend of architecture, visitors will find a mixture of welcoming mom and pop retailers, restaurants, salons, office professionals, small scale manufacturing and financial institutions. Most importantly are the people you find behind the cash registers that care about what they are selling and who they are selling to. They are part of the team leading the way for a healthy and thriving downtown for all entrepreneurs.

Seguin works hard and celebrates big with over twenty annual community festivals in downtown. Celebrate all things pecan and all things Seguin at Pecan Fest Heritage Days every October. Home of the world’s largest pecan, Seguin’s Pecan Fest has been a favorite to locals and a must see stop for thousands of visitors and the weekend long event celebrates our famous nut. The celebration is spread out all over Seguin and includes celebrations of Seguin’s heritage and history. Pecan Fest Heritage Days has a little something for everyone, for the foodie nut to the shopping nut to the history nut.  But the pecan is not all we celebrate – downtown Seguin is the place to be to celebrate the holidays from the Cocoa Sip ‘n Stroll to the Biggest Small Town Fourth of July Parade.
