Testimonials from current TDA members

The Texas Downtown Association continues to be a huge asset to our downtown efforts.  Angleton has been a member for many years and even during budget cuts, TDA continues to be an incredible asset for the money you pay.  From the links and networking opportunities to the list serve, which gives you a huge resource pool of individuals with varying experiences, TDA is one group we plan to be a member of for many years to come.

As the City of Brenham Main Street Manager, I have been a member of TDA for more than 10 years.  TDA continues to educate me through conferences that seem to always cover an area that I’m dealing with in my own community at the time, and links to downtown news from across the country.  In addition, through the President’s Awards programs, we are able to recognize and celebrate local accomplishments and give them visibility on a larger stage.  It’s a membership I never hesitate to renew, even in these tough budget times.

Elgin benefits from and values the partnerships available through the Texas Downtown Association.  It’s a great resource for technical information, training, and networking throughout the state.

We in Plainview, Texas can directly attribute our success in not only our Historic Main Street District but also our Central Business District to our membership in the Texas Downtown Association.  TDA, its member communities as well as its associates network are some of the of the greatest resources available to cities truly interested in the revitalization of their downtowns.  Membership in TDA is a great investment that pays dividends.

The Sealy Economic Development Corporation recently partnered with the Texas Downtown Association (TDA) to provide assistance in facilitating a downtown stakeholders meeting.   As a result of this initial stakeholders meeting a Downtown Association has been formed and meeting on a regular basis.  As we continue our downtown revitalization efforts, the resources and networking opportunities available as a member of TDA will continue to play a vital role.
